Not Blogging

We have not put up any new blogs for a while. Either we have been busy enjoying this gorgeous summer weather or we have just been plain lazy! So, here are some of things I will blog about in the near future...
1. New Parent Syndrome
2. Baby laughs at Grandma
3. First swim and melon-chewing
4. Panic attacks in the shower
5. Too Hot to Handle and too Cute to Ignore!

Good news: I am now a state employee! I have been hired at a couple of different community colleges. What can I expect? Well, for one - BENEFITS! I have been teaching at a private college without benes for 2 years now. They deliberately keep me at part-time so they don't have to dish out vacation, sick leave, maternity, health, retirement etc... So, getting a job that comes with benefits, will be a blessing. Speaking of blessings, this year has been one of favor from God. Here are a few - first, and the biggest, our baby - who makes us laugh and smile and stare (and cry for joy) at her everyday, and then, making it through the summer without me working (no paid maternity benes 'cos I was part-time)- it is just amazing how God provides, having my mom come and help at a very crucial time.

My new jobs start in a month and I can't wait to be done at the other college. Thanks to those who have prayed for us. We really appreciate it.

P.S. Here is a picture of our little one (who has been sitting with me right now babbling and smiling and laughing - those sounds are soooooooo precious). Picture courtesy - Berit (who takes amazing pictures with a true artistic eye. I learned a lot about picture-taking skills from her.)

Congratulations! God is an amazing provider and I am so glad that he has blessed you guys with this new job, and a precious little baby. That is a great picture! What color would you say her eyes are when you see her in real life? It almost looks like they have a green touch.

Hi Em,
Esther's eyes still have a little green in them. Not sure if they are going to change. I think we will know the true color in a couple of months. My mom wants them to turn blue...little chance of that!!

Oh, Esther is beautiful!
I too have been amazed how Berit can actually make the things she wants to show appear in her pictures. That sounds simple, but it is not simple at all when I try...
Congratulations on your new job! Feels good to know that you will have the security of having sick leave etc.
I look forward to upcoming, interesting posts! (Especially the one about panic attacks...?!)
:-)
