So, I think it is my turn to blog a little. Esther is great! I love being dad. She makes the days go so fast! It does not matter what type of work I am doing; church related or construction related. I can in a moments notice see her pretty smile before me and her little clutched fists that now rules her parents wonderfully changed world. Who wouldn't smile with a clear memory like that popping into your mind at all times of the day?
Yesterday I was back in Chuck's bogg finishing the last 48 feet (15 m). Chuck said, "I think one could see my bog walk from space...". I think the walk turned out a little longer than he anticipated. The lake just doesn't seem to be so far away as it really is.
Anyway, yesterday was such a pretty day! I was working alone in the beautiful sunshine with cattails taller than myself growing on my left and right side. The frogs were quaking and the grasshoppers chirping (or whatever they do when they make noise...) I misstepped only once carrying a railroad tie that I use to anchor the walk wherever there is a little more firm ground in the bog (try carry one yourself 300 feet or so and see how balanced you walk) . As I felt the cold water hit my warm feet a memory from my hike with Emanuel popped into my mind... Misstepping in the bog means that you get wet! At least up to your knee. If you are unlucky all the way up to your waist. Luckily I had the fore site of bringing clean shoes, socks and t-shirt with me.
Is there anything worse than wearing wet shoes that smell of decomposed bog when you drive home after a long days work?
Sorry, I don't have any pictures of my adventure.
PS. If you don't have a rail road tie lying around but you want try my balancing act you can try any other object that is 8 feet long (2.4 m) 7 inches deep (18cm) and 9 inches wide (23 cm) and weighs 200 pounds (90kg) give or take. Just make sure you put a spare t-shirt on your shoulder before carrying it to prevent bruising.

A beautiful and colourful blog!
Yes, your daughter really is a sunshine. To hear her soft laughter and see her smile, gives me a kind of peace in my heart.
Did you sit down when you took of the shoes? On a "wrong place"? Did you get wet somewhere else? Em
Em! I did not start combing my hair at least.
