Baby shower happenings and a story about a little boy

A couple of weekends ago we had a baby shower at our place for my brother and his wife's soon-to-be-arriving baby. Amanda has about a week or so to go! Here they are opening some presents. The little girl is Sharon, my cousin's daughter.


We had about 30 people scattered about the house. There were quite a few little ones. It was a lot of fun. I decided to do a Taco Bar for dinner - easy to make and maintain without hassle. The parents-to-be got a lot of things they needed. Now it's time to pop that baby out so we can find out if it's a girl or a boy!


Here is Riley, Sarah and Brandon's baby. He is such a smiley kid. Loves to laugh! He just makes me happy!


One more story:
Nathanael, a friend of ours, stays with us over the weekend when he is in town. Sometimes, his son (cannot find a recent picture) Dominick, 2, accompanies him. When they were here last the following interaction took place.
Dominick was at the top of the stairs calling for his Dad.
"Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad..."
Dad responded, "Come down here and tell me what you want, Dominick."
Again, "Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad..."
I was standing close to him so I said, "Dominick, if you want something, you can tell me or go down and tell your Dad. He is talking to Jonas right now and won't come up, okay? You want to go down?
NO, came the emphatic reply and he sat at the top of the stairs with a thud.
I continue...
You can go down yourself. Aren't you a big boy?
NO
Are you a little baby, then?
NO
Well, what are you?
"I'm TWO!"
