Memorial weekend was a lot of fun, especially Monday. On beautiful days off of work like the one we had, you feel a special sense of freedom. Since it was memorial weekend I also felt a sense of thankfulness to people throughout history who willingly laid down their lives to defend the freedoms we take for granted. It is a good holiday that evokes important thoughts.
The recipe for a great memorial day is simple; sun shine, friends, bbq, great conversations and fun activities. Shie, her mom, and I met with the Liang family out at Chuck's place. We had it all! Enjoy the pics!

Sophie received a little help from Chuck digging this monster horseradish up!

Shie shooting a .36 caliber high power rifle.

As you can see she thoroughly enjoyed the sound, kick and accuracy of this rifle. At 100' (30 m) she hit it right on. This was a fun rifle to shoot and the scope made it fairly easy to be accurate.

John brought his new black powder rifle (old time style where you load the charge and a single bullet in the barrel with a "stick") It was much harder to be accurate with this rifle. But it was fun and smokey!

Sorry about the placing of the photos. The blogg does not let me get the photos any closer.
The blog is nice! Don´t worry about the spacing of the photos! Looks like you had a great day too. Are you going to celebrate 6th of June?
Thanks for reminding me, Mir! Now, we will have to do something on June 6. Memorial Day was really fun, especially the gun :-)
I am very afraid. Shie with a gun? Our lives are soon to be over if we ever come back to visit or live there again.
If I would come back to visit I would feel extremely SAFE having Shie around with a gun! Way to go on bull´s eyeing the target! I'm impressed!
I'll try not to point at you - K&J. Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jo! I tried to leave messages on your blog, but couldn't. You've got to come visit. We could try the dancing game one day and go shooting the next - that would be GREAT!
Dancing and shooting! Sounds like fun! Hit me! ;-)
Hey Guys! We are bloggers now too. Be sure and check us out at www.brandonandsarahann.blogspot.com
You guys should come and visit again soon. I was sad that I missed ya.
