Guess the nationality of the stylish gentleman next to me.My friend Oystein came and visited from (you guessed it) Norway. We went to NCU together. He stayed for a couple of days and it was a very refreshing time for me. We spent most of our time together talking ministry and the work of God in our lives. Oystein is pastoring a church in Bergen, Norway.
Shie and I together with a couple from our church (Brandon and Sara), went on a Sunday excursion to the botanical gardens. The Sunday before this Shie went to the library to check out an admissions slip for four to the gardens. It worked! What a great system!!! It was a little windy and most of the flowers were not in bloom. But we had loads of fun!
They had a Bonsai collection on display inside. The average age of the little trees were 80 yrs! The one you see on the picture is an Indian ficus and it is 130 yrs old! Patience anyone?
We did see some blooming flowers!For you who are waiting for pictures of the van. Be patient. I still don't have my logo on it yet.

Oh my... I had almost forgotten about Oystein. It's good that you were able to see him again.
I always think of the Karate Kid when I see one of those trees.
Thats not fair, Oystein looks exactly the same as I remember seeing him last, which was probably about 8 years or so ago. I hope you are both doing well.
