A few of you have played games with my mother. And for those of you who haven't, well - she is very competitive and more than that, she is good at most outdoor games. Mir and Sam and a few others have played the Swedish game Kubb with her a few times over the years and I always want to be on Mum's team!My bro, Amanda, J and I took her bowling for the 1st time and she loved it and "kickedbutt" (I like the Swedish way of joining words together; hope it catches on in English!) The first time she bowled, she hit a spare (all pins down in 2 shots) and second she hit a strike. Amazing. She was so sore the next day and we heard groaning --- "ooohh, aahh, my leg"! Mum and Jonas had planned a race before she left, running up the steps at Minnehaha Park. The race didn't happen. J (graciously) forfeited so Mum is the declared winner ;-) Enjoy the pics.
