We are okay...

A major bridge over the Mississippi( I35W, a national 8 lane highway half a mile from down town Minneapolis) very close to our home collapsed on Wednesday evening. It was during rush hour and more than 50 cars and buses were caught in this mayhem. The bridge is now in the river. Many were injured and there are a few fatalities. Our hearts go out to the families and other victims of this tragedy.

It is amazing that so many people had the presense of mind to help and rescue others. Mum and I were actually supposed to be over the bridge. But she was cooking and we got delayed by 30 minutes; by then the highway was closed and we couldn't get on. As I was driving, I heard what at happened on the radio; just until last week Jonas was going over that bridge 4-6 times a day. Please remember the first aid workers and families who lost loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.

Kramar.

We haven't heard anything about the people we know and we hope that they are all safe as well. We will let you know if we hear anything.

Yeah, like Vic said. What are the reactions in town. What conversations do you overhear. How is the rescue work going and what hospitals were the survivors being transported to. What is the weather like and so on...
